evMe comes complete with all the standard safety features of the Mazda 2 including front SRS airbags, seatbelt warning system, rigid passenger cell,
anti lock breaks, intrusion minimising break panel, anti whiplash
seating and remote central locking.

All four seat belts are three point belts and are fitted with pretensioners,
load limiters and height adjustable anchorages.

The batteries have been subject to impact, thermal and puncture testing ensuring they will not be dangerous in the event of a collision.

In the event of a collision, the battery packs will automatically deactivate.
This can also be achieved manually with the main isolation switch located
on the console, or automatically with the G force sensor.

The cabling in evMe is centrally located, leaving no exposed wires or wire passages that may need cutting in the event of an emergency.

All internal components feature built in operating limitation devices designed
to shut down the part if operation is no longer safe.
