BBC By Any Means 2

“I’m so impressed by this car!”

BBC Long Way Round star Charley Boorman has selected Australia’s premium electric vehicle, evMe for the Nymboida to Byron Bay leg of his new adventure series By Any Means 2.

Following the huge success of the original series Long Way Round in which Charley and fellow adventurer Ewen McGregor circumnavigate the globe on motorcycles, Charley has embarked on a number of journeys including; Race To Dakar, Long Way Down (Scotland to Africa) and By Any Means, (Ireland to Sydney).

Boorman’s latest series By Any Means 2 takes viewers on a journey from Sydney to Japan using as many methods of transport possible including Australia’s evMe.

The first leg of the journey saw the celebrity crew depart Sydney in a convoy of bikers. evMe’s trip began in the sleepy township of Nymboida NSW en route to Byron Bay, with a quick stop over to recharge in scenic Evans Head.

evMe thoroughly demonstrated its range of 200 kilometres and reliability despite the bad weather and floods plaguing northern NSW.

Charley was delivered safely to Byron Bay just in time to hitch a ride to Brisbane with a backpacker. He continued his journey Brisbane in a spitfire, and was last spotted heading towards Cairns via Ute for a cold beer Queensland style.

The complete series of By Any Means 2 will be available from before Christmas 2009.
